31 New Rides, 34 Sold: Compacts Lead the Pack (Oct 24, 2026)

MCL Weekly Update

166 live listings (down from 167) — 34 sold, 31 new this week

Compacts took the lead this week. With Hawaii gas still at $5.64 a gallon, the fresh arrivals drawing the most attention were small, efficient sedans and hatchbacks — a low-mile Sentra at Pearl Harbor, two Corolla Hatchbacks at JBPHH, and a string of Camrys priced to move.

The wider market backs that up. Manheim's mid-October index firmed to 207.4, up 0.7% on the month, but Cox says the firming comes from leaner supply, not stronger demand — and compact cars are the strongest segment at +5.6% year over year, while midsize sedans have turned positive. Pickups and luxury remain soft, which is why this week's Top 20 leans hard into affordable compacts and midsize value.

Turnover stayed brisk: 34 listings sold or came off the lot, including three from last week's Top 20 — a 2014 Altima, a 2011 Camry, and a 2014 Cruze LT — and sellers cut prices on 10 more, including $1,000 cuts on two of this week's picks. Hawaii lots supplied most of the new efficient inventory, with a single camper at Nellis rounding out the list.
