Having done so myself several times, selling a car is no fun.  No fun at all.  If you’re stuck with your sale, then perhaps some changes need to be made.  If you feel like your ad is lacking some zest, there are a number of things that you can easily do to spice it up.  So let’s get your car sold already!

If there is one thing that I have learned from this business, it is that your selling success goes up with the more pictures that you post of your car.  Add as many photos as you can!  Buyers are natural skeptics when it comes to big purchases.  The more you show of your car from the get go, the less skeptical they become and the more willing they are to give your ad some more thought.

For What It’s Worth

Properly appraising your sale is one of the easier things that you can do with online resources like Kelley Blue Book.  This will help get you out of the mind set that your vehicle is worth more or less than it really is.  I hate to burst your bubble, but sentimental value holds no bearing in a financial transaction with a buyer.  If you sale has gone stale, consider lowering the price.

Extra! Extra!

Be it a new audio system or new tires, be sure to mention them in your ad.  Make a neat list so that it’s easy for buyers to understand what’s part of the package.  If you should choose to list the value of each individual upgrade, make sure you list each value as accurately as possible.  It’s highly likely that a potential buyer will check the market prices for each upgrade that you have.
