Every year during New Year's people die from a completely preventable cause: Drunk drivers. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, deaths resulting from drunk driving are actually increasing from previous years. In the past ten years, 41% of people who die on New Year's are killed by drunk drivers. As a response to this astounding figure, 7.5 million dollars have been invested into a nationally advertised campaign called "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over".
